It's good to be rich?
Thursday, January 22, 2015 - Permalink - 0 Miku(s)

Here the term good is used for benefit or advantage to someone or something, and rich for having a great deal of money or assets; wealthy. Let's start.

When you are born in a rich family, usually you get everything you want, and I do mean everything. Also being born in a rich family to some, they been taught since a child the value of work, money, appreciation, respect, love and many more values. While others are truly spoil children and turns into a spoil adult. Here are the pros and cons of being wealthy.

Money doesn't make you happy

I'll be sincere, at the moment that would make me extraordinary happy, having financial freedom and not being a slave. This topic depends on how the person spends their money. Money can create happy moments and memories. When someone is born rich they don't realise the true value of it, unlike people who don't have, they know its value. By any chance, if you are someone who is rich reading my blog, first of all, thank you for taking your time and second these are the things you can do:

1. You can travel the whole world and live in foreign countries:
Don't just visit the place try to live in it for a month or two. Living in other countries and especially overseas is one of the most amazing experiences you can have. If you already been there, forget about the tourist area, go far beyond that and trust me, you'll find more amazing things that a regular tourist won't see. Live by the cultures, every culture is different. You'll learn new things, learn how to respect other countries and grow yourself as a person even more. There is such thing as culture shock.

2. Learn new languages:
Personally, I would visit the country and live there just to learn the language, besides exploring it. It's only hard when you think it's hard. To some it doesn't make them happy, but trust me, it'll keep you busy and being busy makes you forget about any negativity you have in your life. Unless, you get lost during your way to a language school. Also when you're done, you'll feel an enormous amount of pleasure and satisfaction.

3. Learn and try new things:
If you have the time of the world, try doing new things. Being rich doesn't make you automatically talented. There are many things I would like to do, for example,  learn how to play an instrument, dance classes, learn five or more languages, live in other countries, study fashion design, study microbiology, explore places where no man have explored, work on something I'm passionate about, etc. There are endless hobbies and activities you can do. If you are having troubles, just let me know, and I'll make you that big fat list in one post.

4. Work or study:
Having a job can kill time, especially if you're passionate about that job. Just because you are rich, it doesn't mean there is no need to work. If you think about it carefully, you can work and the money you earn can go to charity or something, just be creative with it. You can study as well, to learn new things that you're curious about. Personally, I studied graphic design, but now I want to study many more things. Your money is not holding you back.

5. Go crazy: (could be a con as well)
Go crazy, do things that no human would do. I know buying things and having everything is boring. What if you do the same things, but for those who are in need? Once, I did grocery shopping and donated whole thing to charity for Haiti. You can personally go to those places and live in their shoes for a week or a month. It'll truly be an eye opener, and you will feel different about money easily. Go crazy, there's no such thing as limits, if you think carefully, but like I said, make sure it doesn't break any laws during the process.

The end of your goals and ambitions

When you have the money, what next? Simply find a substitute to your old goal of achieving financial security. Just because you have money doesn't mean you are forced of doing nothing. You can even keep working not just for the money, but because it's your passion, you'll learn new things in different career paths, and it is good to help others.

Go crazy as a con

Some are rich that last a life time and others are rich that only last five to ten years. If you are permanent rich, you can go crazy, but if you are temporary rich, it can be a con. Being rich is not easy, because you have to manage your money carefully. One false move and you can lose it all, trust me, I had been there. Just because you have money doesn't mean you are forced to buy it all. If you buy a big expensive house, being single, will it brings happiness? No, this is where the term, money can't give you happiness comes from. It is more ideal, if you are single, to buy an apartment or a small house, because what is the point of living in a enormous empty space on your own? It is a waste of money. Reason why is important to save. Which brings to our next topic.

Temporally rich

If you are rich because you won the lottery or just gain an amazing business. I just suggest not to go crazy and start saving. To some living in a fantasy world, this may seem stupid, but it is not. You can lose your precious money anytime, and you can kiss it good bye when it does. Don't let the zeros fool you, because just like the number, it can become one, zero money. I'm not saying you can't travel, not to spend it or telling you what to do with it. Just a friendly advice. You can buy a new apartment or house, but make sure you don't buy a house, just to show off, buy it because you need the space and not just to waste it. Don't buy fancy cars, unless you think it is really important. I'll tell you, I will be satisfied with any car. You know why? Because I never have a car. I always and I do mean always walk, take the train or take the bus. To be sincere, a car would be nice because where I reside at the moment, you have to wait half a hour or a hour for the bus. The most time I had waited for a simple bus is two and a half hours, and let me tell you it's stressful and not fun at all. So when you buy a fancy car, make sure you have it, because for transportation is a beast and not for how it look. If you win the lottery, don't quit your job, unless you hate it with all your guts, but if you do find an other one. You can take a vacation for a month or even a year, but it's always good to have a backup plan. Take advantage of it, travel or move to place where you can do your passion as a job. Cruel this may sound, do not share your money. When you become rich, people want to be your friend and strangers will want to be with you. I know a guy who is rich, but never mention the subject or show off his bug bucks, because he knows people will like him for the wrong reasons. If you share your money with your so call friends and strangers, it'll magically disappear. I wrote so call friends, because if someone was actually your friend, they won't ask you for money, unless they are in their darkest times. Use your money wisely, use it for your family, but make sure is for the basic necessities of life only, and a friend if they're at a point of becoming homeless. If not, they are actually trying to steal your money and not borrowing. Just remember this, easy money comes and easy money goes.

Question from readers;

If you have all the money of the world, what would you do or buy?
  • Find out what I really want to do in life.
  • Make a decision where I want to live.
  • Buy an apartment, good for one to three people with walk in closet.
  • Travel to Japan.
  • Learn Japanese in a language school in Japan.
  • Study Fashion Design.
  • Find any creative job in Japan or where I'll reside.
  • Buy the cute clothing from Japan. (Spoil part)
  • Explore whole Japan.
  • Visit my friend in the States and Russia.
  • Travel the whole world basically.
  • Give money to charity or those in need.
  • Explore different culture and their languages.

If you have temporary money, what would you do or buy?
  • Deposit half of it monthly in my savings account.
  • Buy some clothing in Forever 21.
  • Stay were I currently reside, but at least fix few damages it haves.
  • Study Fashion Design or Microbiology.
  • Buy any type of new car, so I can commute.
  • Continue job hunting or create a small business. (since I can't find graphic design jobs here)
  • If I find a job in any country (United States, England, Spain, France, Japan(day dreaming)) move and work there.
  • Depending how much I have, if it's $100,000, then no. If it's $500,000 between $1,000,000, I might travel to Japan as tourist for Halloween and New Years.

Money is an enormous topic, which I left many things to cover.

Happy reading,
from yours truly.
